It’s here. . . .the month I adore. . . .the pick weather month of all. . . . OCTOBER!!! Can you tell how much I love this month of cheery orange pumpkins, corn shocks, striped gourds, candy corn, and Halloween? My younger students and I have more fun singing Five Little Pumpkins and Skin and Bones, while the older ones love dancing to Danse Macabre and building all kinds of scary accompaniments. Yet all the while we are having all this spooky fun in our music room, my mind is working on the Christmas program. I sincerely pray for God’s creativity to fall from heaven all around me, and give me new ideas for the age-old wonder of Christmas. He never fails, and inspiration hits just as I need it to. . . never a moment late, but sometimes not at early as I think it should come. So, I know many of you are thinking the same thing—what am I going to do for the Christmas program this year? If so, let’s commit this year to not stress and worry over it, but instead, to enjoy the ride! If I can help in any way, just shoot me an email. I love hearing from you!
